Random Current Events

1. An election to replace the eccentric Turkmenistan dictator happened on Sunday. "The Father of The Turkmenis" as he liked to call himself ,was known for changing the days of the week to the names of himself and relatives, forcing school children to study the book that he wrote, having a gold statue of himself rotate with the sun, and illegalizing ballet because, "I do not understand ballet". The new guy (Gurnabguli Berdymukhamedov) will probably be just as corrupt, but not nearly as funny.

2. Coup alert in Bangladesh! The army didn't trust the two women who've been ruling Bangladesh for the past 16 years to have a fair and peaceful election. Although the army was probably right, the army taking over still bodes badly for Bangladesh's democratic future.

3. The Chinese have designed a 25-mile 8.2 billion dollar atom smasher. Fuck yeah!!!

Yeah, I kind of support the illegalizing ballet thing. I don't understand it either.
