That's All Folks

So yeah, I'd been thinking about taking a permanent vacation from blogging, and thought this would probably be the best time. Something had to give with fatherhood, and as much as I've enjoyed blogging, the creative juices were beginning to feel fairly empty. I knew it was bad sign when my latest idea for an entry was to write about my hatred of tattoos, for the second time.

When I started, I never guessed I would do it for so long or get so much out of reading other people's blogs. The blogosphere is a strange/random place, but also an unexpectantly friendly one. I really did find myself maintaining and creating friendships. Anyway, thank you everybody who's come here to comment and listen to me attempt to make lists out of just about anything. I'm sure I'll continue to visit your blogs. Toodles...

Charlie I read your blog regularly. I really enjoy all of your lists and while I wish you could have settled your problems with the dmv sooner so we didn't have to hear the whole sage everything else has been really great. I don't read any blogs except chuckdaddy xpress and was expecting a sequeway into the the dadblog so i don't know what to think. now i am going to have to return to watching craig ferguson monologues online late at night.
anyway, thanks for your efforts! sorry about the bob seger comment. that was realy rude. old style may or may not have been involved.
love, your big sis

You will be missed!!! Your sucky vacuum cleaner will live forever in my mind. My blog recently locked me out due to some cookie error and I've been on sabbatical. I think I've determined that I should leave the blogging to those with real dedication and humor. So, like you I will continue to troll, but am sad to see you won't be one of my options :(

Thanks for many good laughs. xoxo darci from the block.

PS. OK DVD extras -- Hot Fuzz outtakes, pretty freaking funny. In case you ever got the opportunity.

What? No, no, no, no, NO!

This, what you speak of, is rubbish, pure rubbish. I'll have none of it.

Baby schmaby. You're a teacher. You can multi-task.

Clearly, I'm in the denial stage of loss. I'll let you know if I move on.

Thank you everybody, and who knows, maybe w/ all this in-the-home-time I'll have more time to blog. ButI'm figuring that once I go back to work the blogging would fall to the wayside, plus there's a good chance cheesiness is on the way. Not a bad thing in life, but terrible for a blog.

Either way, I'm sure see people either in real life or tollig around the blogosphere.

I suppose I should make a public statement of blog grief here to the passing of ChuckDaddy, my spiritual BlogFather and perenial top of my blogroll list. He was my blogging east and my blogging west, my weekday blog work and my Sunday blog rest, yadda yadda yadda.

I considered using this sad event as an excuse to ditch the habit myself. But nah. The michael5000 blog empire must go on, if only to make the sacrifices of ChuckDaddy live on and have meaning.

See ya around, Chuck. We hardly knew your Xpress.

Wow! I check in to see how the Xpress is ticking along only to learn that it isn't anymore.

If EVER there was a time for it, it's now:

SADCAKES.

You will be missed Chuckdaddy!
