Politics: Where Does Bush Rank With The Worst Presidents Of All Time?

Bush so far has...
1. Misled the public to gain war support
2. Took a surplus and turned it into a historic deficit
3. Made huge tax cuts that will bankrupt the country and make the rich richer
4. Even if you don't take Iraq, Afghanistan or anti-terrorism money into account, outspent Clinton

Bush is certainly one of the worst presidents ever. But how bad? Even though Nixon's scandal has horrendous, I would take him in a second over Bush. Nixon was much smarter and purposely had moderate advisors to give him more balanced views. Harding (1921-1923) is often considered the worst, but I think he gets extra points for getting poisoned by his wife (probably).

There are other presidents who accomplished less than Bush, but accomplishing bad things is much worse than doing nothing in my book. Andrew Jackson reminds me of Bush and I would say was worse. Yah, I know he was a man of the people, but he just seemed like a royal ass getting into fights with the bank and being particularly cruel to the Indians. And, although I want to give James Buchanan extra credit for being our only bachelor (and probably gay) president, having the Civil War start after you is pretty inescusable. So I'd say...

Worst: James Buchanon
Second Worst: Andrew Jackson
Third Worst: George W. Bush

Uh....anybody remember an actor named Ronald Reagan. He's the guy who chose to ignore the holocaust known as the AIDS epidemic in the early 80s, referring to it as a moral disease. And he got 200+ marines killed in Beirut, fought a fake war in Granada, and fortified American imperialism in central and south America under the guise of either 'drug-war' or 'war for democracy'. And he did all that while he was still suspected of being conscious.

Harding. No policy contributions, took 4 hour naps, made up a stupid word, "normalcy," that, sadly, became a fixture in pseudo intellectuals' vocabularies.
